ABOUT THE ARTIST
I have loved art in every form since I was a small child. I could not get enough, whether painting or turning glue and found objects into 3-D collages. As a teenager, I spent any free time taking classes at the local art center; Oil painting , print making, tye dyeing, it did not matter. I just loved expressing my creativity with design and color.
In 2001, I started working with wire, beads, and marbles fashioning them into whimsical and funky candle holders. After running out of people to give them to as gifts, I decided to do a few art shows and sell them. The sales and feedback were good, but I was looking for something more challenging. So for my 30th birthday, in 2002, I signed up for a glass fusing class. I was instantly hooked. In the beauty of the molten glass and the endless color and design possibilities, I had found what I was looking for. I started taking a few glass sun catchers with me to shows and they were always the first to sell. I so love working with glass that I have since been spurred on to create more products. So far I have added wind chimes, night lights, and jewelry. I am always experimenting and trying to come up with new and interesting combinations that are both fun and functional, yet affordable.
